Our FareWinds layering systems starts with our fundamental base systems 1/2 zip. Regardless if you wear this piece by itself or as a layering garment in late season, it can't be beat. Our new lightweight Merino-LR™ Base Fabric incorporates breathability and insulating properties making this an ideal first choice for the active hunter and a perfect base layer option for colder sits. Features include 240gsm Merino-LR™ Base Fabric, paneled sleeves, mesh-lined kangaroo pocket with venting, 2-piece stretch sleeve cuffs with thumb holes, and elastic gripper tape on back hem. Regular Sizes: M-3XL. Tall Sizes: LT-2XLT.

base layer
good quality , I prefer a snugger more of a compression type fit for base layer. I will probably wear underarmur compression underneath this. something tight to my body seems o keep me warmer.
I market sizing below as runs large but overall fit was very good in sleeve length and fit overalll

Farewinds merino base 1/2 zip
I finally got out to hunt the other evening with 40 degree temperature and 10- 15 mph wind , i was wearing this base top with the 1/2 zip lofted sweater. Never got cold at all. Code of silence continues to amazed me with quality products that perform. This is an excellent piece to add to your system. I almost have my midweight system dialed in . One more piece to purchase and I will be complete. Highly recommend the farewinds system of clothing. Thanks again- Howard Wagoner
